GSK Consumer Healthcare Launches Polident Brand For India Denture Market
Increasing incidences of tooth loss or decay and other periodontal disease are predominantly fueling the growth of the dentures market. According to the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 47.2% of adults aged 30 years and older have some form of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease increases with age, 70.1% of adults 65 years and older have periodontal disease. According to the World Health Organization, in Europe, 20–90% of 6-year-old children have dental caries. Severe periodontal (gum) disease is found in 5–20% of middle-aged (35–44 years) adults in Europe, and up to 40% of older people (65–74 years).
