India Milk Product Stood 187.7 Million MT In 2018-19 Significantly Contributing To The Cheese Market
Increasing consumption and production of dairy products due to various health benefits is influencing the growth of the cheese market. Cheese is rich in various nutrients such as calcium, essential minerals, protein, fat, and others. This nutrient helps in the prevention of various disease such as osteoporosis and also make teeth &bone stronger. Expanding number of quick-service restaurants (QSRs) across developing regions that serve cheese based food products coupled with the increasing disposable income of the consumers is also fostering the growth of the cheese market. According to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the market size of the Indian restaurants and food services industry stands at Rs 3.7 trillion as of 2018 registering a y-o-y growth of about 10% and a CAGR growth of 8.4% between 2013 and 2018.
Cheese
is one of the oldest dairy products ever eaten by humankind. It is full of

terms of regional analysis, Asia Pacific is expected to lead the global cheese
market and this is due to the fact that this region accounted for the highest
production of dairy products. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation,
India is expected to emerge as the largest dairy producer by 2020. In India
milk production is growing by 6.4 per cent during the last 5 years and has
increased from 146.3 million MT in 2014-15 to 187.7 million MT in 2018-19
