Increasing cases of malnutrition around the globe is driving the growth of the ready to use therapeutic food market. According to the World Health Organization, millions of people are suffering from different forms of malnutrition. In fact, 1.9 billion adults are overweight or obese while 462 million are underweight. Among children, 52 million under-fives are suffering from wasting, where they have a low weight for height. Growing demand for drinkable RUTF products such as therapeutic milk is also projected to augment the growth of the market. The growing focus of key players to launch of bar and biscuits RUTF products is again anticipated to accelerate the growth of the ready to use therapeutic food market.
