There are two main types of fibers produced through this process; polyethylene fibers and polypropylene fibers. They are the most commonly used fibers. Polyethylene fibers are coated on both sides with a resin that serves as a protective layer against abrasion and moisture. Geopolymer is known for its extreme durability and tensile strength. It is commonly used in aerospace industries as tie rods, nose cones, wing nuts, and a variety of other fastening components.
