Heated Slippers Market Is Expanding Rapidly With Smoko Inc., In Collaboration With Peanuts, Launched New Heated Slippers Snoopy And Woodstock With USB Connectivity

Heated Slippers

Heated slippers offer optimum relaxation to the cold feet and thus, they have been used by people while watching TV or working on the computer. These slippers are pre-installed with a heating pad, battery, and a USB cable, which helps to warm the slippers. The U.S. has emerged as the major consumer for these types of slippers due to high incidence of diabetes across the country. Furthermore, Europe is another key region where the demand for heated slippers has risen rapidly due to rising disposable income across the region.

Heated slippers are typically used by people with medical conditions such as lupus, gout, Achilles tendinitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. As per the Lupus Foundation of America, around 5 million people across the globe and around 1.5 million U.S. citizens have a form of lupus with women being the primary patients of this disease. Furthermore, as per Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), around 8.3 million people in the U.S. have gout with 6.1 million men and 2.2 million women. As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), by 2040, around 78 million U.S. adults aged 18 years and above are expected to have doctor-diagnosed arthritis. Such a high incidence of these joint-related diseases has increased the demand for heated slippers, thereby stimulating the heated slippers market. Although there are different kinds of heated slippers available in the market today, most of them are powered by electricity. The units come in different shapes and sizes. Most units are portable, which makes them easier to bring around when you need to use them in more than just one place.

Recently, in October 2020, Smoko Inc., in collaboration with Peanuts, launched new heated slippers Snoopy and Woodstock with USB connectivity.

The disposable income of consumers across the globe has been increasing steadily for many years, which has increased the demand for such slippers significantly. That being said, these slippers are significantly expensive as compared to other options including microwave warm boots and foot warmers. Thus, a large chunk of consumers is hesitant to purchase heated slippers.  Aside from their primary function, heated slippers can also be used for special applications. For instance, they are ideal for taking the cold steps after a hot shower. The heat will help soothe sore muscles and make the walk more enjoyable. Furthermore, heated slippers have always been a hit during the Christmas season. However, in the summertime, everyone is more active and tends to perspire more, making slippers impractical. The major demand for heated slippers is the regions where snowfall takes place.
